Hi Louisette,
I appreciate your situation and totally support your activism. Our local
chapter of CoC, being your closest chapter , would like to encourage you
to attend the parallel event in Ottawa at the same time as the
Washington event, regarding the Keystone pipeline decision. Many of the
Canadian CoC groups will be there plus others . It is being organized
now as a safer way for us to make our voices heard, than crossing the
border.
I think it would be great for GREN to be in Ottawa along with our
chapter reps and other groups. You could take a GREN banner and bring
attention to our watershed issues while I will be carrying the CoC banner.
And folks, Peter Victor is speaking at the GRCA Water Forum this year.
He spoke at Our Environmental Future last November on Degrowth. It
should be good!
