Sunday May 8: Victoria Park Stormwater Walk
>From 1:15 PM to 3 PM (meet at picnic shelter near the main Victoria Park
playground at 1:15)
Stormwater Walk includes:
- Walk through Victoria Park with expert tour guides from:
o Laurel Creek Nature Centre on the natural heritage of the area
o Leaf Cool Communities on the value of urban reforestation
o Victoria Park Historical Society on the cultural history of the park
- Update on Victoria Park lake cleanup plans on behalf of the City
of Kitchener
- Visit to REEP House for Sustainable Living for a tour of our
rainwater harvesting and grey water systems, permeable paving, and more!
