[All] Michael Ignatieff in Waterloo

Hi folks

I met this very intelligent man years ago at a Banquet hosted by the Community 
Crime Prevention Council.  He was very charismatic,and wonderful to converse 
with but I didn't catch his name. I and saw him the other day at Michael 
Ignatieff's rally. As he walked by I said to him, I remember you. He than turned 
to me and said, "Your Louisette Lanteigne". I didn't think after 7 years he'd 
remember me by name but none the less I introduced him to my daughter Samantha 
and then we spoke on issues regarding quarry pits, flawed Environmental Impact 
Studies and how issues in Waterloo Region reflect the same flaws from here to 
the Tar Sands. In no time he was writing down my email so we could discuss the 
matter further. 


As I was writing, Michael Ignatieff showed up so I asked Mr. Ignatieff to sign 
my copy of his book True Patriot Love which he did. The guy from the banquet 
then states to Mr. Ignatieff, "Michael, you've got to here what Louisette has to 
say" At which time I whispered a comment basically stating that folks are making 
millions off destruction for profit scenerios using poor hydrogeological 
information resulting in massive infrastructure projects. I gave a quick example 
or two in passing and Michael Ignatieff told me to contact him directly with the 
details.

Once Michael was finished I finally turned around to the other fella and I asked 
him, "What is your name?" He told me his name is John Grisham.  I shook his hand 
and thanked him. 


During this time my daughter was holding a vote for Telegdi sign as Michael 
Ignatieff passed by, thinking it would look good for the cameras and she only 
caught a glimps of the other fella just a bit before we left.  On the way to the 
car she said, "Mom, that man is so familiar. I've seen him somewhere." 


When  I got in the car, my daughter turned to me and asked me, "What was his  
name again? I said John Grisham. She turned absolutely white then turned  to me 
and said MOM! THAT MAN IS JOHN GRISHAM...THE AUTHOR!!! He's MY  FAVORITE AUTHOR 
IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!! Oh My GOD THAT MAN WAS JOHN  GRISHAM!!!! 


John Grisham is the author of: The Client, the  Pelican Brief, the firm. He 
writes books focused on industry corruption  and political scandal.  My daughter 
knows his face from the cover of all his books but she didn't recognize him for 
the glasses he was wearing when we met. We looked online and saw that it is him. 
My poor daughter is so tormented to be in the midst of her favorite writer 
without realizing it but she admits it's kind of cool for the guy to know her 
mom by name.

Today  Michael Ignatieff released his election platform. He states in it:  We 
cannot take our water resources for  granted, particularly as pollution, 
overuse, climate change and  increasing populations in some regions are putting 
water quality and  availability at potential risk.

I think it's safe to say the Waterloo Moraine is on the radar now.
