Hi Everyone

To add to your issue Robert if we don't get an LRT system or better mass transit options in place, and new roads are needed,
the aggregates will most likely come from our own local quarries and the capture zones along the Grand River etc. Less aggregates = more actual
protection for the moraine. So much emphasis has been placed on protecting the water but without protecting the sediment composition that controls infiltration, water flow and flow rates, we're really not going to prevent the damages.

John & All,
Looks like an interesting meeting -- thank you for putting the Agenda together John. I would like to suggest the following addition:Five minutes for me to discuss:
1) key aspects of the LRT system design such as the need to better address our accelerating road congestion and how necessary is a very costly 2-track corridor along King between W & K downtowns in the initial stage;
2) the related need to be more concerned with developer disincentizing thru the negative health effects &/or disagreeable aesthetics of toxic chemicals in our air in downtown/' near downtown' areas that we wish to intensify (so as to better control urban sprawl and help decrease the use of roads connecting to the periphery).
The 2) was very much influenced by concerns expressed by other GRENERS over the last for months about various env'tl health  effects and by my noticing how AirBoss Rubber Compounding (Strange/Glasgow area), is polluting the air -- depending on the wind direction -- from downtown Kitchener to near downtown Waterloo (what to do?). http://www.profilecanada.com/companydetail.cfm?company=152349_AirBoss_Rubber_Compounding_ON
