FREE Workshop: Building - or rejuvenating! - a great Green Team

 

Location: 99 Regina St. in uptown Waterloo, Regina and William Streets; parking in the City of Waterloo lot across the street; 1 block from Grand River Transit Route #5, 7C, 7D, 7E and iXpress buses, King/William St. stop; bike parking available in front of 99 Regina St. (transit and driving directions, below)

Workshop details:

 

Tell us about your Green Team successes; learn from others!
 

Ideas we'll talk about:

starting a composting or recycling program

-creating a community garden

-reducing the paper used by your faith community

-planting trees and other plants

-holding environmental information nights

-insulating your faith building

-having an energy audit done on your faith building

-investigating installing solar Photovoltaic panels on your roof

-inviting your community members to walk/cycle/take public transportation to worship

-other great projects that are unique to your faith community

Take the 7C, 7D, 7E or iXpress down King St. Get off at the King / William stop. Go right at William and you will see the building on the corner. If you are on the iXpress get off at the Uptown Waterloo station, turn left onto Willis Way, turn right onto Regina St.
