The report contains many alarming facts:

In Ontario, the amount of aggregates extracted per person per year is 14 tonnes.
Average price of aggregates: $8.00/tonnes.
Gravelwatch is requesting protection of surface and ground water resources
They request that companies show a demonstration of need before permits are given
More needs to be done to re mediate quarries within a reasonable period 
They bring to light light many of the weaknesses found in the State of the Aggregate Resouces Report (SAROS)

It's a great read.  Highly recommended.
