Greetings,

This was sent to me by an organic vegetarian from Pennsylvania who had  
a booth at a
renewable energy conference who said in the email, "Others might be  
interested in this website to sign petition to stop Monsanto Corp and  
genetically engineered crops." http://organicconsumers.org/action.cfm

I have been concerned about the safety of GMO crops for years both  
because their genes can spread to non-GMO crops (e.g. Sask. farmer  
Percy Schmeiser, http://www.percyschmeiser.com/) or even across  
species possibly such as Monsanto's terminator gene that could  
contaminate Nature's gene pool or at least obliterate small farmers  
around the World, http://www.ethicalinvesting.com/monsanto/terminator.shtml

I have particularly great concern the fact that any reputable  
scientist who finds fault with a GMO plant seems to lose both his job  
and reputation. Also, no statistics are able to be gathered for  
epidemiological purposes because GMO ingredients are not labeled  
(except Australia, ... ). This situation is a tragedy waiting to
