Hi folks!
WONDERFUL NEWS! Water and proper sanitation has just been declared a HUMAN RIGHT by the UN. Details at this link:
http://www.montrealgazette.com/health/declares+water+sanitation+human+rights/3332789/story.html
NOTE: Canada was among the 41 nations to abstain on the issue. Regardless it passed thank heavens!
Also the Tar Sands suffer a major blow as the EPA prolongs approvals for the Keystone pipeline. What was once a project considered a shoo-in for quick approval has now been delayed at least another year as the EPA investigates the potential environmental impacts. Details here:

Along a similar story, a US federal judge on Wednesday stopped companies from developing oil and
gas wells on billions of dollars in leases off Alaska's northwest coast,
saying the federal government failed to follow environmental law before
it sold the drilling rights.

If so join the US state department's Public Liaison and Intergovernmental Affairs on Facebook. No kidding on this one. It's the real thing.
