Hi folks
I've been getting lots of interesting (and funny) feedback regarding the Air Car so here is more info for your reference.
This is a You Tube video showing the Air car and it's creator. They're currently working on a generator that will refuel the vehicle as it drives in a closed loop system so you never have to fill it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztFDqcu8oJ4
The average gas car produces 19.4 pounds of CO2 per gallon of gasoline but this puppy currently produces 24.014 pounds CO2 for every 100 miles IF the electricity for the compressor is based on coal. If it's wind, geothermal, solar, hydro or other green electricity, the CO2 output is even lower. If they master the closed loop generator system all the better.
Here's an article featuring various cost analysis of CO2 reducing vehicles but take it with a grain of salt because the PRIUS is actually horrible for Co2 because they forgot to factor in the CO2 needed to extract the platinum to build the hybrid engine. That gives a hybrid prius the footprint of a Hummer. Non the less it's interesting reading if your into this sort of thing. http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/alternative-fuel/news/4313894?series=19
