Hi Mike,
Thanks for the links to the George Carlin VD's where he criticizes the
Corporations in his particularly distinctive manner. Generally, I
especially like the use of humour for both complimenting and
criticizing. In fact -- as my wife best knows -- I create ad lib
humour all the time (perhaps my "uncle" Spike's influence).
I am especially glad, though, that you have heard the message from
myself, Prof. John McMurtry, Michael Moore and countless others that
the corporations are the -- invisible to those swimming in denial [de
nile?] or blinded by fear -- monster in the room.
But just to compliment corporations, the current trends indicate that
corporations appear to be increasingly successful at Complex-Life-
Destruction Generation! One hopes that these -- mostly corporate
anomie caused -- trends are reversible!
Now I look forward to seeing what more you & Donna are going to do
after we finish laughing about/at it/them! (We leave out or include
corporations in our multi-causal analyses of problems, both with some
risk!)
My life-role is partly to advance the survival need for higher 'values
and purposes' -- as Obama did during his election campaign. But also
I am tentatively suggesting what our Higher-Global -Universal Values/
Purposes might be. And far-reaching discussions about them should be
an Open Collaborative Innovation process --an essential part of an
effective democracy (as Michael Moore, http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE5850F320090906
, and others might suggest).
Best wishes,
Robert
