Pipeline info:
Rob de Loë stated the potential Lake Erie Pipeline is a ONE PIPE system meaning the used Lake Erie water will be discharged back to Erie via the Grand River. He confirmed this to me at the recent lecture I attended. 
 
Good news for Great Lakes:
US announced they will provide 2.2 billion to clean up the Great Lakes.

Merger and Economy
Tonight in Waterloo Council I'll be providing a very brief power point presentation regarding Merging of Cities & Economic impacts. I'd like to clairify that this is in no way a GREN position but simply a personal presentation based on the review of several credible economic analysis on the topic of mergers in Canada. No matter what side of the issue you're on in regards to a possible merger of the cities of Kitchener and Waterloo, existing data strongly indicates that we can reasonably expect a 20-30% tax increase should this merger occur. The supporting information and links are in the attachments. Feel free to share it.
