There are others of us running. I filed in the Spring to run in ward 4 Cambridge against another career politician.
As Susan said we need $$$, lawns for signs ( if you have friends in these areas please let them know for us, or if they live in another part of town but have a high traffic volume property), but most importantly we need the votes. Word of mouth is a great thing!

Good for you Susan -- I hope you do well.

Jake -- and others -- would be wise to realize that being a municipal politician should not be a lifetime job. New IDEAS need to be injected into the system by new IDEA-rich candidates winning! But running alone can get new IDEAS out to the public and other candidates.

Maybe some other GREN's will run also.

  Robert M.

P.S.: As I said in a recent email title, "New IDEAS Rule the World". But perhaps I should have also added, "And new good IDEAS can save the World -- or the Region -- from old bad IDEAS." (I hope nobody suspects what I have particularly in mind here: the constructive criticism that the Region's current LRT system design is in great need of enhancement via new IDEAS -- and greater political will to do so!)

    Hey GRENers,

I filed my papers today for Ward 7 Kitchener City Council, running against Jake Smola and a Michael Windley…so far…

The ward is bounded by Trussler, Hwy 7/8, Fischer-Hallman and Glasgow, so please let me know of anyone in the ward who may be interested in delivering cards on their street and generally helping out. Did I mention sending money? hahahaha

Thanks so much! Let the fun begin! Woo-hoo!
