[All] Action for Owens: Call for Cease and Desist.

GREN members have been contacting me regarding tree removal and here is a quick update for you.
In the attachments are the documents regarding the birds of the Owen Property and Forested Hills according to EEAC.
I am in dialogue with the MNR and Environment Canada Staff regarding this matter. 
Evidence exists to prove that city staff, regional staff, the MNR and Canadian Wildlife Service were aware of the possibility of Acadian Flycatchers in this forest prior to these land augmentations.
This may constitute as a direct VIOLATION to the oral OMB ruling for OMB case PL091182 which bumped up protection for breeding birds in regards to the West Side Lands and ESPA 19. The hearing took place March 23, 2010 and I was there to help protect the bird habitats. The City of Waterloo policy for tree removal was not in sync with either the region of Waterloo policy nor the Migratory Bird Act and I witnessed the OMB chair Susan Rogers order that there be no disturbances to breeding bird nests from April to August to have regard to the Migratory Bird Act. The tree removal that I witnessed clearly took place April 19th 2010. Employees gave me the name of the REGIONAL employee who supposedly authorized this. I have it on video. Due to the fact names are mentioned I cannot post this online however it will be shared with RCMP officials and others if need be.
I have requested from City of Waterloo and Regional Council an immediate cease and desist until the trees have been properly inspected for nests. I strongly advise that others do the same.
