Most of us already receive Grand Actions, so for those who don't and wish to do so, perhaps you would be best to contact Janet individually.

I’d just like to clarify…this newsletter covers a large area with numerous environmental groups and I would not do a series on one group unless it is over several years. From looking at your website, I see GREN seems to primarily take positions on issues. Grand Actions is not a place to outline a position, as you would do on the op ed page of a newspaper.
It is a place to outline actions (projects, initiatives) that have or are about to take place within our watershed that improve the environment, education about environment, appreciation, heritage, sometimes research with concrete results. One group may be covered more than once if they have undertaken different initiatives that are different from each other. For example, the City of Guelph re grey water recycling and wastewater management leadership.
Unfortunately Grand Actions can’t be everything that everyone wants it to be—it is only a small newsletter that comes out every two months and there is more going on in the watershed or even within the GRCA than I can fit onto its 8 pages. The best way to understand it is by reading back issue Grand Actions, which are posted on our website in the Newsletters section.
Of course, your group are most welcome to subscribe as individuals or as a group and approach me with a possible story, but I don’t want you to expect much.
If you are looking at a series of articles, maybe developing your own newsletter would work, or having a column within a local paper.
    Thanks,

    Janet

FYI. Ask Janet to put you individuality on her email list or we could have a GREN mailing -- what do you think? Janet said she could carry some GREN articles depending ... (maybe specific criteria could be worked out in consultation with Janet) in her every-2-months e-publication.

Here is the link for the March/April issue of Grand Actions:

    http://www.grandriver.ca/GrandStrategy/2010_marapr_grandactions.pdf

This issue is packed with information and stories related to the Grand River watershed and the work that is being carried out here by the GRCA and its many partners. It also features information about the work of a Guelph bird bander, an 1878 tragedy on the Grand River in Galt, the dramatic increase in tree planting and the update to the Grand River basin study.

    Enjoy!
