Green Living and Technology Fair 

Date: Saturday, April 17

Learn simple ways to reduce your energy and water use. Buy green products,
talk with solar, geothermal and other green energy providers, learn about
home energy audits, carsharing and green cars, home insulation technology,
landscaping, how to repair your bike, and much more!  Forty vendors, 15 new
vendors this year! Free admission!

FREE electronic waste drop off at the Fair courtesy of Greentec! See a list
of acceptable e-waste items at healthywoolwich.org. Recycle your old bike by
donating it at the Fair to support The Working Centre.

Two exciting and educational alternative energy tours are being offered in
conjunction with the Green Living and Technology Fair:

1. Solar, Geothermal & Strawbale Homes: Tour two energy efficient homes in
Conestogo & Winterbourne and talk with the owner and installer. Bus leaves
approximately every 45 minutes 12-2:30 pm from St. Jacobs Arena.

2. REEP House for Sustainable Living: Take the tour bus for a sneak preview
of REEP's 90% energy efficient demonstration century home, featuring
super-insulation, R-7 windows, solar panels, geo-thermal, and more. Use the
payback calculator to choose your best options. Ride the YMCA's Veggie Bus
to the REEP House! Attending this tour is available by shuttle bus only. The
bus departs at 12, 1, & 2pm from St. Jacobs Arena. 

Donation for tours welcome.  Space is limited.

A Taste of Woolwich: Local Food Within Your Reach 

Find out why more and more of us are buying tasty local food we can trust
and where to find it.  Meet your local farmers and the growning number of
retailers supporting them. Enjoy food samples, chef demonstrations,
informative workshops and children's activities.  Monday, April 12 at 5-8pm
at Calvary United Church, 48 Hawksville Rd., St. Jacobs. Visit
