[All] Great news for Electric Cars in US

Reva, the Indian car company, has designated Central New York as the site for its electric car plant. The factory will build a new generation of electric cars in North America. The State will provide $3 million in Empire State Development Corp. grants and $3.76 million in tax incentives for the factory.  The announcement builds on a major initiative from the Governor’s 2009 State of the State Address – the New York Battery and Energy Storage Technology Consortium (NY BEST) – which made the development of battery technology for hybrid electric cars a top economic development priority.
