Kevin....thanks for your email. We just got back to town after 3 weeks of
travelling and I have missed much info as I forgot to ask the neighbours to
SAVE the Record for me. So I am now open to emails and info..hope I haven't
missed too much important info .will be going to the Baden meet next week.
I got my notification from the Region in my pile of mail on returning home.

> Hello,
>
> Roger's Television today did a 30 minute program on the Region of
> Waterloo's Protected Countryside Concept and the upcoming public
> information sessions being held over the coming weeks as part of its
> Newsmakers show. They did a good job on the program fairly covering the
> key issues and interviewing Kevin Eby at the Region, IBI Planning,
> Martin's Farms, as well I managed to do a short section speaking on the
> environmental/community aspects on behalf of GREN.
>
> The show aired at 5:30, 6:00 and 6:30pm today on Channel 20 and will air
> again at 10:00pm tonight, 4:00, 5:30, 7:30 and 10:00am tomorrow. I was
> quite impressed with Rosalind Horne - the interviewer and host. She was
> great to work with and seems to understand the environment as well as
> local issues. Hopefully, we will be able to continue to work with her in
> the future on important environmental issues.
>
> Today's Poll question on their website (www.rogerstv.com) is asking if
> you think there is too much urban development in the region. So far more
> than 88% of respondents have answered yes.

> Wednesday, Oct 7, 3pm to 8pm at the Wilmot Recreation Complex, 1291
> Nafzinger Road, Baden
> Thursday, Oct 15, 3pm to 8pm at the Woolwich Memorial Centre, 24 Snyder
> Avenue, Elmira
>
> Hopefully things will go well and we will see the Protected Countryside
> Concept approved by the Province in the next few months and the new
