[All] Assessing the GR Watershed Project

Dear GREN members,

I couldn't make it out to the GREN meeting tonight (Nov. 18th),
unfortunately. But I wanted to speak about a particular topic during
the "Member Updates" portion of the meeting:

As part of my PhD, I'm undertaking a sustainability-resilience
assessment of the Grand River Watershed. I'll be collaborating with
lots of different people with different types of knowledge (local and
scientific). The assessment will involve describing the various
pressures affecting the sustainability of our surface and groundwater
sources, from north to south all the way to Lake Erie.

I was hoping to gage the level of interest in collaborating with GREN
members every now and then. This will involve me talking to GREN
members about what they believe are the significant pressures (e.g.,
cyanobacteria, development on the moraine, the big pipe to Lake Erie,
population growth, management regimes, growth paradigms, etc.)
affecting our water sources.

Please respond to me (not to the whole group) if you would be
interested in participating through interviews and/or group meetings.
Thanks! I hope to hear from you.

Best wishes,
Tanya Markvart
